One on one, no cages, gentle grooming.

The grooming

Catering for all your four legged friends, big and small

Holly does not run a production line. One dog comes in, gets her full attention, and goes home. That is the whole idea, and it is why owners with anxious dogs keep coming back.

The full groom

Bath, dry, clip and finish for every shape and size of dog. Big and small, curly and straight, Holly caters for all your four legged friends.

One dog at a time

No cages and no queue of dogs waiting their turn. Your dog has Holly to itself from the moment it arrives until you collect it.

Nervous dogs welcome

If your dog has never enjoyed the groomer, this is the part Holly is known for. She works at your dog's pace, not the clock's.

First grooms and puppies

A dog's first grooming visit sets the tone for every one after it. Holly takes first timers slowly so they leave calm rather than rattled.

Coats that need real work

Missed a few weeks of brushing? Matted and overgrown coats are normal, not a telling off. Holly sorts them out patiently.

Two dogs, one appointment

Dogs that live together and hate being split up can come in together, which takes the worry out of the whole visit.

Not sure what your dog needs? Ring or send a text and describe the coat. Holly will tell you straight.

Before and after

The difference a patient afternoon makes

A dog that arrives matted and overgrown is not a problem to be tutted at. It is just a longer job. Holly works through it at a pace the dog can handle, which is how a scared dog turns into one that walks in happily next time.

“Grooming experiences can be scary, watching behaviour and only going as fast or slow as they dictate helps ease them into being calm and happy.”

The groomer

Holly, and a salon she built herself

Holly has been grooming dogs for years, and her regulars stayed regulars. One owner booked the same dog in every six or seven weeks for years running. Another trusted her with the same pup for five. That is the kind of thing you cannot buy or fake.

She renovated the space under her house at Kyogle into a grooming salon and opened the doors on 1 September. Her words that week: “It’s been an amazing journey to get the salon ready, I can’t wait to get back to doing what I love, grooming and making dogs look and feel beautiful.”

The first dog through the door at Kyogle was Hugo, a German Spitz. A fortnight later it was Blue, a two year old German Shepherd having his first ever groom, who Holly reckons left with a good deal more confidence than he arrived with.

Every one of these is a five star Google review, left by an owner who trusted Holly with their dog.

Holly is the best groomer - we would trust no one else with Che, our little Havanese dog. We have had a groom every 6-7 weeks for many years now with Holly. Holly is kind, patient and really good at her job - I cannot recommend her highly enough !!

I have two large groodles that have been seeing Holly every 7 weeks for a few years now and I don't know where we would be without her! One of my dogs has quite bad anxiety and hated the groomer until we went to Holly. She takes her time with my anxious girl and makes sure she isn't getting too overwhelmed by the process. Holly is also great at always taking my two dogs at the same time as they are a bonded pair.

Two groodles

I inherited Olly, a very small toy poodle from my grandparents. She was almost 7 when I got her and she had never been professionally groomed before. Holly was always so patient and kind, providing the perfect groom while prioritising Olly's safety and comfort. Over time, Olly became more and more comfortable with all aspects of grooming, and was always calm and happy come collection time. A groomer that cares for dogs so deeply is a true treasure.

Holly has been grooming our groodle for the past couple of years and she is just the best! We were very particular about how our dog was to be groomed and Holly actually listened, and we have not been disappointed once. It also helps that our dog absolutely adores Holly.

I have entrusted the grooming needs of my pup Koko to Holly for the past 5 years. My dog has always been a bit anxious, but Holly has always been able to work with him wonderfully well to make it a stress-free experience, and I could always trust he was in good hands. Holly made the grooming experience enjoyable for myself and Koko too, who was always so excited to see her!

If your dog hates the groomer

Bring the anxious one. That is the whole point of a quiet salon.

Three separate owners have written about dogs that were anxious, or had never been groomed at all, and about how Holly worked around it. No cages, no other dogs barking, no rushing. Tell her what worries your dog when you ring, and she will plan the visit around it.

A text is usually quickest

Holly is often mid groom with her hands full, so a text or an email will always reach her. Say what breed your dog is, roughly when you would like to come in, and anything she should know about how your dog handles being groomed.
